Let us do the work for you.

Research & Development

If you do not need us as a co-manufacturer, but you would like us to assist in developing your product, then R&D can be done at an agreed-upon hourly rate.

IN ORDER TO BEGIN:

Please send us the following questions answered in reference to the products you would like us to co-manufacture:

Do you have a commercial recipe developed for this product? If yes, please send the following information along with your request:

  • list of ingredients (must include weights for every ingredient, not volume or number of items)

  • each step in the process beginning with prep through cooking and any curing or waiting periods as well.

Is this product in bulk or packaging? If packaged, please send us the labeling information and current packaging.

What is your MOQ and volume projections?

Is this a continuing agreement, or is your need for co-manufacturing temporary?

If the product is a hard candy or puff, what is the size and shape you are looking for?

Will you need storage in our facility to hold your product? If so, please estimate how many pallet rack spaces you require.

Please attach an unsigned NDA to your email so we can begin discussing the project with you upon receipt of your request.

STEP 1: NDA

Once you have gathered the appropriate paperwork, we will ask you to sign a mutual NDA, which ensures that your recipe is yours, and yours alone. We will then be able to openly discuss your product.

STEP 2: FINALIZE PAPERWORK

We will need the following items to prepare for a test run:

  • Scaled up recipe - ingredients must have weights, all steps should be listed in detail from prep to cooking and any curing or cooling processes.

  • Samples of the finished product for our staff to compare

  • Packaging dimensions, requirements, and specifications

  • Volume and MOQ projections

  • All ingredients are needed in-house before test runs

  • All packaging (if packaged product) in-house to prepare a test run on our packaging line

STEP 3: PRODUCTION TEST RUNS

The Production Test Run is a TEST, allowing us to try your recipe in real-time on our equipment and with our staff. Errors may occur during a test run and recipes do not always scale up correctly. Please prepare for the possibility of multiple production test runs. We will provide the labor and facility to produce and package your products. We have resources that we are happy to share with you, but the procurement and pricing of these materials are up to each customer for the Production Test Run.

After we have completed a successful Production Test Run we will be able to evaluate the scope of your project against our production capacity to quote you a per-unit or per-weight cost based on volume requirements and any other factors discussed on a situational basis.

We will do our best to understand your process, make suggestions on how to lower costs and improve efficiencies. We aim to keep your costs low, so you become a flourishing business and a repeat customer.

We will send out samples to be approved for final production. Once we do so, it is up to the customer’s discretion to accept the product.

STEP 4: PRODUCTION

Once final samples have been accepted, we will ask for an official PO to be issued and we will slot the product into our production schedule.

If you have any questions about this process, please discuss them with us by emailing us through the submission button located above.
